HOLLYWOOD & HIGHLAND CENTER RINGS IN THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH A CHANUKAH CELEBRATION AND LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

 

Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood's prominent retail and entertainment center, rings in the season with holiday festivities:

 

• EVENT: Recording artist, JoJo will give a live musical performance. Her single, "Disaster" debuted 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles in September 2011. JoJo's third studio album, "Jumping Trains" is expected to be released in early 2012. Catch her performance on December 17 at 6:00 p.m.

• EVENT: Congregation Kol Ami of West Hollywood's Reform Synagogue observes Chanukah with Shabbat Services. Chanukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates the universal message that good will prevail over evil, freedom over oppression and light over darkness. It is observed by lighting the Menorah each night of the holiday for eight nights beginning December 20 at sundown. Join the services on December 23 at 6:00 p.m.

• EVENT: Hear the sounds of the Salvation Army Band during a live musical performance. For 90 consecutive years, they have marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade making it the longest-running performance in the parade's history. They will be performing on December 30 starting at 4:30 p.m.

 

All events will take place in the Central Courtyard at Hollywood & Highland Center and are free and open to the public.
